Austrade and SFA launch a fintech partnership initiative

The Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) have launched a program to promote fintech innovation in both APAC nations.

Project Lorikeet, an initiative to increase engagement between Singapore and Australia’s fintech industries, was launched with the signing of a memorandum of understanding by SFA President Shadab Taiyabi and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade Singapore, Stephen Skulley.

Through networking, workshops, and advice provided by Project Lorikeet, the partnership aims to increase the presence of Singapore fintechs in Australia and support the expansion of the fintech markets of both countries.
