In order to make it easier for cardholders to search for deals and coupons at thousands of online retailers, Citi has released a free desktop browser extension.

Through its Citi Shop program, eligible cardholders can save money online at over 5000 merchants in nearly 30 different categories, such as consumer electronics, pet supplies, clothing and apparel, and cosmetics.  “We’re making it easier than ever for our cardmembers to save on purchases from a reliable source with Citi Shop,” the company says.

In order to use it, cardholders must add the Wildfire Systems-powered extension to a desktop browser that is compatible and enroll their qualifying Citi branded US credit card.
