Third-party administrator of insurance products Bay Bridge Administrators (BBA) is notifying roughly 250,000 people that their personal information may have been compromised in a September 2022 security breach.
Employee benefit plan administrator based in Austin, Texas, reported that it was the target of a cyberattack that disrupted its network on September 5, 2022. The company began identifying the affected individuals on December 5 after determining that both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) were exposed during the attack.

Names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, ID and driver’s license numbers, as well as medical and health insurance information, are among the compromised data.
