Fintech firm Abound raises £500 million for smart lending

Abound, a UK-based FinTech company that offers consumers better loan deals by combining open banking and artificial intelligence, has raised £500 million through a combination of debt and equity financing.

Citi and Waterfall Asset Management’s clients provide debt financing. K3 Ventures, GSR Ventures, and Hambro Perks were equity investors. With this most recent investment, Abound has now raised £570 million in total.

The business is the consumer division of Fintern Ltd, which also owns Render, the unique technology that Abound uses to provide smart loans.
