Global Fintech Investment Decreased in 2022, According to Innovate Finance

The research conducted by Innovate Finance revealed that global investment in FinTech reached USD 92 billion in 2022.

The amount represents a 30% drop from 2021, when the sector attracted a total investment of USD 130 billion. In contrast to the 6,146 deals in 2021, the capital invested in FinTech in 2022 was spread across 5,263 deals.

Despite the decline, globally speaking, the UK saw one of the smaller drops in investment. In 2022, London also made further strides toward becoming a preeminent international FinTech hub.

The capital only saw a 5% decrease from 2021 in the USD 10.2 billion it received throughout the year.
