Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo has entered a strategic partnership with IBM to update its infrastructure.
Intesa Sanpaolo will work to fully utilize the opportunities presented by the Red Hat Openshift hybrid multi-cloud platform and artificial intelligence through the agreement with IBM.
In terms of ESG, the IBM z16 will allow Intesa Sanpaolo to reduce its infrastructure energy consumption related to the z16 by about 20% and to help limit its environmental impact. The IBM z16 was designed with energy efficiency in mind to achieve greater performance with less energy used.
According to Intesa Sanpaolo, the bank will start future-proofing its systems, applications, and data using the quantum-safe cryptography capabilities of IBM z16.
