Revolut is making Revolut Lite available in Latin American nations to increase unbanked people’s access to cross-border transfers and transactions.
Up until the 30th of August, Revolut Lite will offer free transfers to users as a taste of the online banking experience. In Chile, this is currently in use. After launching in Brazil this May with a cryptocurrency platform, the payments giant now plans to use Lite to establish operations in Argentina and Ecuador.
In addition to being active outside of Latin America, Revolut Lite is also available in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Moldova, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Armenia, Macao, and Azerbaijan.
The company’s expansion into LATAM will also help the sizable expat populations that use the app to send money home in Spain and Portugal.
