Stripe to power Microsoft Teams payments for businesses

Microsoft and Stripe have partnered to enable North American businesses to accept payments directly within Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams, a platform for business collaboration and communications, will use Stripe to handle payments. The change will enable meeting hosts to accept live card payments for events, classes, and appointments that take place virtually. Businesses can make joining a Teams session contingent on payment in advance through Stripe.

Stripe takes care of the onboarding requirements for merchants who sign up for Teams Payments so they can get paid. After a payment has been made, Microsoft will use Stripe Connect to automatically route funds from customers to retailers.
