VentureWave, an Irish private equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in Funderbeam, a Blockchain-based startup for angel investors in growth companies founded by former Nasdaq Tallin stock exchange head Kaidi Ruusalepp.
In approx. USD 40 million funding round that also included participation from Mistletoe, Draper Associates, and CEO of FunderBeam Ruusalepp, VentureWave acquired the majority stake.
Through the agreement, VentureWave will have access to technology that will allow it to target secondaries and venture investments across the globe from early-stage angel funding to pre-IPO secondaries.
