Walmart collaborates with Citi to offer suppliers a digital lending platform

Together with Citi, Walmart is developing a platform that links its network of 10,000 US-based small business suppliers with numerous lenders.

According to Walmart, suppliers can communicate with more than 70 lenders using a single loan request form, and these lenders can offer loans of up to USD 10 million to qualified companies. Following the submission of a request, the platform matches suppliers with a variety of prospective lenders who can assess their requests.

Walmart said that this results in a more effective loan process for both lenders and suppliers, and it also gives suppliers more power by giving them convenience and access to capital.
